About Me!
Welcome to an exciting new school year! I am Ms. Werner and I will be your child’s teacher. I am very excited to meet your child and for the school year to finally begin!
To share a little bit about myself, I am excited to say that this will be my fifth year as part of Utica Community Schools teaching team. I earned my BA in Language Arts and Elementary Education at Grand Valley State University in 2011. I also have my Masters from Marygrove College in the Art of Teaching with an emphasis in Digital Literacy for the 21st Century. I have a very small family with just one sister. She graduated from Grand Valley State University, as well, studying Sports Management. I grew up in Shelby Township where my parents still reside today. I have a dog named Bailey who is six. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to be able to see many parts of the world already. As an educator, it is my goal to help students feel comfortable in their classroom environment, take ownership of their learning and achieve their personal goals. I am looking forward to partnering with you, as their parents, to watch them grow and reach their learning goals this year.
Please feel comfortable calling before or after school. The classroom phone number is 586-797-6625. If you call the classroom during school hours it will be rerouted to the school office where you may leave a message with them or
be sent to my voicemail. You may also write a note for me to call you. I will call you as soon as possible. Email is the quickest and most efficient way to reach me. You may email me at [email protected].
